Last day at YWAM Heredia

Dean and Mike were trying to finish working on the barn. But when the rain finally stopped the power went out for most of the day.

We have been trying to get the goat barn finished but we have been running into a few problems. The weather has been so bad because of the rain and high winds that we haven't had power for most of the day in the last 3 days. So either it was raining to hard to work in or the power was out and we couldn't use the tools or charge up the cordless tools. So Dean and Mike did what they could and used the tools that worked to do the job. We went down to the nearby town for lunch yesterday waiting for the power to go back on and we finally saw some sun. It was a nice blessing to feel warm for an hour. It was hard to want to go back up the mountain and feel cold again. We had to go shopping in town to buy more warm clothes. I know everyone back home is thinking "oh big deal at least you don't have -30 and snow" but what we do have in 62 degrees in side with 75 km hour winds and rain and humid with houses that have 2 inch gaps under the doors and no source of heat. I just keep remembering the people who are living on this mountain that are living in this weather but are only in a tin shack. (oh ya and we have mice in our room). So enough complaining I know I'll stop now. We have been having a great time inspite of the weather with the Fehr family. The kids have been running around having a hoot with the animals and helping work.
