Vietnam people

These lines are like Vietnam. A tangled mess that works. These really are how the wires look. I don't know how it could be or who' idea it was to do things like this.

Every day we have fresh squeezed OJ. It is so good.Miranda's straw was giving her a bit of trouble.

Many older women carry little cook tops and have a portable restraunt. Others walk around selling their produce. Most look as though their knees are going to give away at any moment.

People honestly carry anything on their scooters. We have seen, animals, 4 people at once, 2 guys carrying a refridgerator on their shoulders, ladders, a stack of ice 5 feet high and 3 feet wide and anything eles you might see in the back of a truck back home.
Colton and \Dean really needed haircuts. $4/each

Vietnam has many newly built bridges. Most is seems are built by other countries. This one was built by the Japaneese. Another by the Australians
The smells and sights of Vietnam are amazing. We have had some of the best food here. The meal that was prepared by the local family homestay was great (other than the floor), the restraunts are top notch. The hotels are cheap and nicer than others countries we have stayed in. We have not had a problem with the language at all. Most people speak a bit of english which helps gegt most points across.

The traffic is an amazing thing to see. There are no rules. If you want to turn you stick your nose into on coming traffic and push foreward till others have to go around. At times we see an intersection 3 lanes in each direction with 50 scooters and 3 vehicles trying to push across traffic to turn a corner. Pedestians do NOT have the right of way, even at pedestrian crossings. There is a lot of honking, but no one looks frustrated or angry. We have seen a few scooter crashes. All at intersections. All got up and walked away.
Adults have to wear helmets, but children  don't and rarely do.

1 out of  5 peole wear a mask covering their faces to protect themselves from pollution. They walk with them on, drive with them on and sit on busses with them on.
